Flora piloted her 1st space ship. She couldn't figure out how to get it started, but she was able to clean up her act while she waited.

Flora's check-up

Today Jill came over to weigh Flora. She weighs 7lbs, 10ozs. That's two more ounces than her birth weigh. Yay, Flora!!!! I am continuing to breast feed, but I don't have to pump anymore, I can just feed her on both breasts, and supplement her with formula. She usually drinks 2-3 ounces at a feeding and she eats every two to three hours. I am trying to make an appointment with a lactation consultant to see if she can offer more suggestions to increase my milk, like a prescription or a supplemental nursing system. So, we'll see...
As for me, I am doing well. Jill said I am healing nicely and that I look great and am acting like I haven't even had a baby. Even though I have to get up a couple times a night, I still have quite a bit of energy. I even got to go out for an hour and a half on Sat. I went to Cranky Pat's to see the Blue Heels, one of my favorites. I had a lot of fun and even danced a little. My friend Vicky told my I should stay still, but I told her, "I have a lot to dance about!", a beautiful baby and a wonderful, caring husband.
We have gone for two walks with Flora already, thanks to the nice weather. We are going to walk downtown right now to find a gift for Auntie Robyn's birthday. Have a super day and get out and enjoy the weather if you can!!!

Friday

On Friday, Flora went to visit Daddy's work. We didn't bring out the camera when we were there, but Flora and Zoey posed for this picture before we left.

My Godfather John and his first Great God Niece. Our only visitor of the day.

The only other news for the day, is that Flora made her 1st trip to Red Robin. She did awesome.

Making Weight

Sorry about not posting yesterday. We were busy making sure that Flora would make weight for her check up. She gained 8ozs in a day.

Great Grandma Florence Enz (a.k.a Flossie) made the trip, down to Appleton. She was the only one able to quite her screams.

Day Two is here and reality has set in.  I can't send her back and I feel like I will never sleep again.

Its not her fault entirely, we have had a boat load of visitors over the last day and a half.  Oh well, it is nice to know you are loved.

Mom + Dad + Baby = Family and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Great Beginnings - A Little Shamrock

March 17, 2007 @ 11:39am a child was born. Soon after she was named Flora Analiese. She was 7lbs 8oz and 20" long. Her birth was celebrated over a pint of Guinness.
